Snakefruit

This is a local fruit understandably known as snakefruit. You can judge the size - it's on the bottom of a teacup here. One of my classmates loves them and has a large bagful, so shared one with me. I loved looking at it, but while it wasn't awful, it's not something I want to eat again.

The outside is a hard, almost crispy, very thin "snake skin." The fruit inside is about the consistency of an apple, but not juicy at all. In the center is a single pit.
