Dishware - Coconut shells, bamboo, cotton
On Friday, we were each given a bag containing a set of dishware made of locally sourced coconut shells, bamboo, and cotton by nearby residents. The restaurant has been instructed to not provide food or drink to us without these. We're learning to be better stewards of the earth we live on. By now, it's become second nature to take them with us when we eat. We even took them to a local restaurant last night, and, yes, they knew we were going to do that.
We wash our own set of dishes and napkin in our room. Wet things dry surprisingly quickly here, so from one meal to the next, we can wash and dry them. I've got mine packed and ready to take to dinner.
